(Update)WARNING- Please Read! Important!!

Journal Entry: Wed Apr 16, 2014, 1:23 PM

Edit 2:

I am glad to hear that one of the commissions will be finished. I look forward to seeing everyone get theirs. I hope you are all treated well and wish the best to all involved in the situation. Again, I wrote this journal because my conscience would not let me continue to ignore this issue. It looks like it is on the right track now. Thank you, :iconsailorminimuffin:, for doing the right thing.

Edit:
It seems that after continual messaging, she managed to put a WIP picture, the first after eight months. We'll see if she actually delivers. Still be cautious.

Before I say anything, let me say this. I absolutely hate confrontation, and I always wish and hope for the best in people. This journal is not meant for anything but a warning and I encourage that after reading this, please dear watchers, do not go and use this as a gossip thread or a place to say mean things. I am only doing this to pass on information, and I hate that it has come to this.

Do not buy from :iconsailorminimuffin:. It is my belief, after continual proof, that she is a thief and has scammed people out of commissions and have run with their money.

I would not say this without being very sure of this claim, as I truly do want to believe the best in people. Let me start with a personal experience, and continue with another's.

January of last year, Sailor asked me to do a plush trade with her, to which I accepted. I wanted her to make Rarity,my mother's favorite, so I could give it to her as a surprise on Mother's Day. I completed my part of the trade, a filly flitter plush. I am glad I didn't send it off, trusting I'd get my half, as I now believe she never had any intention of sending me a Rarity to begin with.

Mother's Day was in May, and around late March I was getting a little worried. I asked her politely for how my plush was going, and she hid my comment, noting me privately responding that she didn't want me doing that. It made her look bad, she said. First reg flag. She gave me some sort of excuse about not having time, but continued to complete plushies regularly to sell on eBay. Why was it so hard to make my one Rarity for our trade?

Fast forward about a month, I finally give up. I send her a note, saying that I can no longer wait. I explain that it was a Mother's Day gift (again) and that it's put me in a pinch. I say I'll sell her filly Flitter to help pay for a different Rarity. I get no response, ever. No apology or anything. (By the way, I commissioned a Rarity out of my own pocket upfront, assuming I could sell Flitter and make up the difference. Over a year later, she is still with me. Because I couldn't commission until last minute, I got my mom's gift about a month after Mother's Day. It is Sailor's fault I didn't have a gift.)

I kept seeing other people asking about their commissions, even saying that they are worried she'd taken their money and run. I'd include their usernames for a quote from them; sadly, those, too, are hidden. Seems very fishy.

Finally, my friend, :iconkazzysplushemporium:, paid $186 last September for a beanie pony from SailorMiniMuffin-eight months ago. She never got back in touch with Kaz, and around February she asked Sailor if she had any WiP pictures. She said she did, and never sent any. Now, in April, she is ignoring and hiding her messages. Why else would you do that if you were not trying to scam people?

Thankfully I did have the sense this time to screenshot the hidden messages, I wish I had done that with the other messages over the last several months before she hid them:

As you can see, they are now hidden. She has not made the commission, yet she still found time to make a pony for eBay. Please, do not trust her. If you have any other proof or if you have had a negative experience with her as a customer, please speak up. People need to know. This is not right and she should not get away with doing this to more people. If you have recently paid her for a commission (withing the past 45 days), please save a lot of heartache and get your money back from paypal. This person cannot be trusted.

Thanks for the update. I'll consider commissioning her in the future again, and at least now I know to be aware of how long it may or may not take.

I really hope she was just taking a reeeaalllly long time, all the facts suggest other wise though. If she was really having trouble with time or something came up, she should have told people, not doing so makes it look like she is stealing...and there's a high chance she may have. Kind of suspicious she just recently posted her WIP's. When someone pays you to do a job and you don't produce it or even reply, then that's a sign that you might have chosen the wrong person to commission from, and those signs show up with Sailor.

Heya.

I'm hoping to bring a slightly different sound to the debate.

I'm the person who bought her Derpy beanie on Ebay, the only one I recall seeing her sell there for many months. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't remember seeing any other plush from her there in the last five months at least.

Regarding the way the transaction went on, I paid the next two days following the auction, and though I did have a bit of a hard time getting a reply from her, she still responded in a still acceptable and reasonable time frame. (two weeks) As soon as she replied to me, she posted the package and I was receiving the plush about ten days later (sent with USPS to France, which is why I'm not surprised by the delay it took to arrive). She apologized for the delay with her reply : from what I understood she'd had to face several severe family and health problems, hence the delay.

I think we can all understand this. Now, I go by the saying "fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me" which is why I'd still show a bit of caution when dealing with her. I don't think she's a bad person or a deliberate thief : she might be terrible at handling personal problems and managing responsibilities. Still, you should probably be aware when contacting her that your plush might take some time to arrive, insist on getting clear information about what delay you are to expect and ask for a "time frame" beyond which you'll want to withdraw unless you get your plush. My advice would be, don't necessarily assume the worst, she might have had her arms full for a while, but still be clear and firm about what you will or will not tolerate in terms of delays and excuses.
